SplodgeAway Project.

Hello Everybody,

Wow..what a week it has been. We have been so busy in the shop that when I finally stopped today my body feels numb. So with Tom in Sheffield I decided to have a lazy day and have finally go round to updating the blog.

The project I want to share with you today was a quick frame I made for Tom to take on C&C last week. I'm not really a cardmaker and didn't have anytime to scrapbook so I decided to make a frame of one of our scan photographs.

The scan photograph is when our gorgeous daughter was 17 weeks so still a lot of developing and growing to go. We are still debating whether to go for another 4D scan but we will see, only 10 weeks to go so I suppose we will see her soon enough.
The frame was made by inking a 8x8 sheet of SplodgeAway Easy Ink with Spun Sugar. I then took the new SplodgeAway Square Nouveau Mask, some gesso mixed with Claudine Helmouth pink paint and gessoed over the mask. Before the gesso dried I sprinkled some new Stickles fine stardust glitter over the top. When it all dried I mounted the photo behind the frame and then layered some mirri and pink card. I added some flowers, bling and stardust glitter around the edges and voila! Really quick and effective.

The new SplodgeAway website is now up and running. I know some masks are still to be added but take a look and let us know what you think.

This week in the shop saw the last classes of this year. We had Kay Rutter in on Thursday and my did she make us laugh!! I can't wait for her to visit again next year. And, yesterday we had Annette Lee in making Christmas projects and Dylusion Tags. The tags were a great hit and we are going to repeat this class next year so watch last demo before Christmas. On Saturday 1st December we have the very talented Lynsey Mason in all day for a free demo on configuration boxes, Ranger products and much more so if you are free call in and see us.

This is another project I have been working on, the shop seems to have gone crazy for altered books so I had to have a try..this is just a sneak peek as I still have to add photos and embellishments then I will post the whole book.
